The IRS said in a release that it chose to delay the lowering of the threshold to $600 following concerns that the agency and the Treasury Department received about the timeline.

What Does This Mean?

For the 2022 Tax Year, Cash App and Venmo will not be reporting transaction to the IRS.

Do You Have an ITIN?

Here Is How To Get Your Credit Started with a ITIN:

An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is issued to an individual for tax purposes. These numbers, if used, would be recognized as an invalid Social Security number on your credit report.

If you do not have an SSN, you can submit your request for a free credit report in writing. Please include one copy of a government-issued identification card, such as a driver’s license, state ID card or similar displaying your current address, and one copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, insurance statement or similar.

Please also include the following identification information:

  • Your full name including middle initial (and generation – Jr., II, III)
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Complete addresses for the past two years

Send your request to:

Experian

P.O. Box 9701

Allen, TX 75013

IRS Delays Filing Deadline

Posted on: , | author:

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin announced on Tuesday that the federal government will allow taxpayers to defer income tax payments for up to 90 days in order to help mitigate the economic chaos caused by the coronavirus fallout.

Taxpayers filing for the 2019 tax season can also defer those filings for the same three-month time period. The ordinary deadline has been pushed from April 15 to July 15.

Corporations will also be granted a three-month reprieve. No taxpayer or corporate entity will suffer penalties or interest rates during that time, Mnuchin said.

The deferment does not apply to state taxes, only federal.

CREDIT KARMA: What You Need To Know

Posted on: , | author:

Everyone has Credit Karma, it seems. The app offers you a way to get credit scores and reports from two of the three major credit reporting companies, TransUnion and Equifax.

The biggest plus for Credit Karma is the app is FREE! It’s hard to beat that. These free reports come in handy to spot inaccuracies to correct and improve your credit. You even get a credit score. Great, right?

While Credit Karma will give you A SCORE, they do not provide you with THE SCORE. Credit Karma will not give you the FICO Score. That is the score lenders will look at when they process your mortgage application.

Therefore, many times the score from Credit Karma will differ greatly from the scores the lenders use.
