Obtaining a Real Estate License with Face to Face Realty

License Requirements

To start, the Louisiana Real Estate Commission (LREC) requires that you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.

• Have obtained a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).

• Complete 90 hours of real estate education in courses approved by the Louisiana Real Estate Commission.

• Pass the real estate salesperson licensing examination.

• Select a Broker who you would like to affiliate with (Sponsoring Broker).

PRE-Licensing Test

After completing the required hours you will be given a “Certificate of Completion”. You are now eligible to take the licensing exam. The exam is divided into two parts:

• Real Estate Principles and Practices (NATIONAL)

• Louisiana Laws and Real Estate Rules and Regulations (STATE)

Once you successfully passed both portions, you can now find a Sponsoring Broker to hold your license and CONGRATULATIONS…You’re An Agent!
